It’s Friday, thank goodness. Let’s get straight into it.
Music: I’ve been in a grungy mood lately and really enjoying the sounds of Irish post-punk band Fontaines D.C. Their songs range from loud and cathartic to sweet and poetic, and their newest album comes out today. I’m sharing one of the more noisy, cathartic bops in case you also feel like raging.
Soothing Watch: Want to know how tomato paste is traditionally made? Watch this carousel of photos and videos. This reminds me of old family stories of all sorts of fruit and veg drying under the sun and makes me wistful to experience a simpler time. Instead, I’m in Brooklyn squeezing the life out of a (delicious) Mutti tube of tomato paste.
