Hello beloveds,
I continue to watch Twitter’s downward spiral and feel compelled to share more gems with you to spark some joy on this chilly Friday. One brilliant Consumer, Aaron, pointed out that El*n M*sk’s “hardcore” rant was “literally a scene out of School of Rock.” Aaron is absolutely right:
Jack Black cosplaying as a teacher in “School of Rock” was a better performance of leadership and management than what’s happening at Twitter now… and way hardcore, compared to E***.
Before I get into the Twitter roundup, I’m sharing one song that I haven’t been able to shake since the first time I heard it for the first time in 2006.
Song: “Leave the Pieces” by The Wreckers. I’m in one of my semi-annual phases of listening to “Leave the Pieces” on repeat, and overthinking making a TikTok of me dancing to this song with the caption “Michelle Branch put her whole tree into this song.” The more I listened to it this week, the more I felt like this was my Twitter break up song and dying wish for the platform. Leave the pieces… leave the memes, leave the timely jokes, leave the quote tweets roasting someone, leave the little pieces of information that stay glued onto the walls of my brain. Shout out to consumer Farrah who sent me a video of Michelle B. belting this song out while photographing her for The Washington Post. May all of our beautiful friends indulge our smooth brain tendencies.
Joyful Twitter Content… about the demise of the platform:
